At the beginning of my work, I wasn't sure what software use to accomplish the task: DHD Offworld Simulation. Now I'm sure, the 3D Studio Max was the best choice for me.

This project is made of 2 parts:

Part1.
- DHD (in several designs!),
- Atlantis gate,
- all offworld planets and other objects,

Part2.
- Atlantis Operations,
- Flash simulation,
- chase simulation,
- simulation mission addition.

Soon, some pictures of my first DHD in my life.

As I noted before, the DHD is ready. As you all can see, the symbols to dial out, will be made not in 3D, but they will be integrated in Flash animation.

The DHD stands on Athos, known also as Athosia from Stargate Atlantis.

So, here it is, the DHD on Athos

Ok, work is done, it's almost 3 a.m. so I can sleep now.

the chevron of SG-1 is locked.

In two hours I complete the whole lightning effect for gate rendering. Then I'll post the new chevron. Since I manage 3 projects, it's difficult to do it alone, since Dedal is sick.

Anyway ...

These pics are just the testing ground for creating realistic looking lightnings and meshes. If I satisfied with them, the next step will include creating more thingy things like the gate, pedestal from Stargate SG1 and the Daedalus, for Dedal .... so he can recover more qiuckier ;D

There are some things I've changed for the chevron betatesting:
- lock mechanism glow,
- crinkled surface,
- base steel reflection.

Spoiler:
Soon - that means about one and half a week - I'll post the stargate sg1 ring. No, you are not misheard.

I've placed the chevron on the ring to made it clear ...
